Coming down all the way from Christchurch, New Zealand, Paul visited Germany for the first time in June 2009 for the Zippo International Lighter Convention of "Zippo Flamme Deutschland" that was held in Randersacker near Würzburg and brought this lighter, especially designed for that event.
"Z.F.D - Zippo Flamme Deutschland"  - a harvest bronze finish piece of art that was auctioned off for a charity of  Z.F.D.'s choosing - the Wurzburg Child Cancer Hospital. At the end of the auction ZFD announced (shocking everyone) they were adding a matching amount - truly capturing the spirit of the weekend - hats off to their generosity.
A massive thanks to all those who helped make the visit such fun.
Particular thanks to Alex & Anja for the invite & chauffeuring, Willi for his irrepressible enthusiasm & hard work in presenting such a well organised show, & Andy & Petra for their hospitality & the warm jumper - it was well used!

Paul's artwork is amazing and what he is able to create on a Zippo lighter or Case knife surface is absolutely stunning. No photo can show what you can see with your own eyes holding one of his pieces of artwork in your hands.

Truly one-of-a-kind... and this is the best way to describe Paul himself too. Knowing each other from lots and lots of emails and phone calls since somewhere back in 2004 we finally got the chance to meet in person in June 2009. This guy has a motto "In all things be passionate" which reflects not only in this work but in his way of life.

Having Paul for two days full of fun and talking for hours right after the show was a our pleasure. The day he left he placed the "Lady of the Light" in one of our Zippo displays... whithout telling us... and if I remember right it took about two months until we noticed our amazing new addition and memorable gift.

Thank you so much Paul !!!

One year later, in July 2010, we met Paul again in Bradford, Pennsylvania for the Case Collectors Reunion.
We (Paul G. Fleming, Howard Cruiser, Norm Bumm, Petra & I) were invited for a Barbour Street tour by Kathy Jones. What fun !!!
Breakfast at the Bradford Club with Kelly Platko from Roseart. Great way to start the day !!!
